Altitude at Via is a traditional camp where opportunities are created for children to develop their social and independent living skills, while making friends and building their self-esteem. Our campers are terrific kids who benefit from a dedicated, professional and experienced staff that provides hands-on direction and support, all in the safe and fun environment of camp.
But Altitude at Via is so much more than a camp… To the parents and participants who have come to know us, Altitude is a warm and close-knit community.
Altitude is intentionally designed to facilitate and prepare our campers for key developmental transitions, between elementary, middle and high school.
It is our goal to work within a traditional camp setting to:
- Provide participants with a fun summer “vacation” in which the typical stressors and requirements to conform are decreased, and campers can feel comfortable being themselves
- Assist our participants in developing the confidence and skills necessary to navigate through the challenges of middle school and high school
- Prepare our participants for the transition to college, the working world, future interpersonal relationships, and… the rest of their lives.
