Menlo College is a small private college with a convenient Peninsula location. It is set on a quaint campus located in beautiful Atherton, California; a favored residential suburb of San Francisco. The campus is just one mile from downtown Menlo Park and offers lovely historical dormitories, a modern cafeteria, which serves a wide array of organic foods and gluten-free options, as well as a pool, sand volleyball pit, state-of-the-art computer lab, and lush green environment. What are the dorm accommodations?

At Menlo, our campers and staff will be living in the El Camino dormitory. It is a lovely U-shaped dormitory with a large “great room” in the center, and a secure courtyard in back. Boys will stay on one side of the dorm, girls on the other. The dorm rooms include bunk beds and bureau space for camper’s belongings. Bathrooms are located in the halls and are shared. We will have two campers per room, with plenty of staff interspersed in the sleeping quarters.

What will happen if my camper has a medical emergency?

We have a nurse on staff who will assess the situation. If it is determined that emergency medical attention is needed, we will call 911 and transport the camper to the Stanford Hospital http://stanfordhospital.org/, which is located approximately 3 miles down the road from the Menlo campus.

What is the phone number to the university in case we have an emergency and cannot wait for a phone call back?

Camp Altitude staff tries to answer as many phone calls as possible, and when unable to do so will check messages as soon as possible; however, if a situation were to occur, the main line to the university is (800) 556-3656.
